The week's happenings...

Congrats to Aunty Eunice and Uncle Jim! I tried to give them a few pointers before they had little Oliver. Hope I prepared them well. :)

Of course I've been learning all kinds of new things too in the past week. I met up with my buddy, Dylan. He's a couple of months older than me, but what's that he's got in his mouth? You can see how contented he is, but me not so much... hmm.. I must experiment.

Ah ha! What's this?? Oh yes, my hand! That's what I found this week! It's delicious, but sometimes I still forget that it's attached to me.

In the meantime, I think I have this head control thing down, but my cheeks kind of weigh me down. Here I am taking a little break during my tummy time.

My parents have been totally thrilled since I've been clocking 6-9 hours of sleep a night. Ahh.. I feel so refreshed! OK.. (teehee, those are Oliver's initials), I'll coo with you soon!

Time for visitors!

Hello Friends! It's been a busy week and I've had lots of visitors. First things first, I wanted to thank my dear Aunty Demetra for this way adorable polka-dot romper! Silly Mummy wants to see if they come in big people sizes, but I don't think that's such a good idea...

This past week I also went to Old Shanghai for the first time with Lucy Jiejie and her family. Here's Papa and Uncle Yeeli pushing us along while Mummy and Aunty Susy got to chat... Thanks Pop!

I also got to meet Aunty Zainab! Can't believe she flew all the way from Albany to hug me! She's wonderful! I fell asleep when we walked to the park, but I heard Zain and Deen had a great time on the playground.

Then I got to meet awesome Emma and her parents who showed me how to eat cake (see below). I was so impressed. I especially like it if she gets it all over her face. I can't wait to try that one day. Mummy said something having teeth first. hmm.. let me see if I can work on that in the next few months.

Point of reference

Mama got it in her head that she wanted a point of reference to measure up against as I grow. Well, here I am at 2 months, sitting next to my new point of reference - a giant, squishy banana! It's even half-peeled.
Her plan is to take monthly photos of me next to this banana. The banana will soon be no match for body size! (and perhaps indirectly my appetite).
Personally with this photo, I think you can only truly appreciate my chins.
Well, my mom gets a real kick out of the banana.

2 months!

Whoa, I'm already 2 months old, and loving it!

To celebrate, I got to visit with my awesome great-grandmother. What a treat!

Don't I look comfortable? I saw my parents eating all kinds of good things, including frozen yogurt. Mama, when can I eat that?

We also went out to B-star in our neighborhood. Mama had japanese comfort food and Papa had azuki bean french toast. Here we are in a staring contest:

Single Mama

We also went for my 2-month check up. I'm a whopping 11 pounds. Well, of course I am. Mama's milk is sooo delicious! I even dream about it. I've been really good too, sleeping 5-6 hours in a row every night.

I'm happy Papa's back now though. I really missed him. Love my Papa!
